You know how you see all these awesome new products on TV and you say “I want one of those” but somehow you never get it? Well, that’s what happened to us when we saw the Ronco “Set it and Forget it” Rotisserie!

With the holidays coming around and the start of Holiday Gift Guides, I was looking for an awesome product to jump start the Bargains4Wahms 2012 Gift Guide. So, I reached out to Ronco for a Rotisserie and they agreed to send me one to review! My husband and I were both excited.

I was happy enough to be getting a Rotisserie, but they have 3 different Rotisserie’s ranging from $99 – $199 and I had no clue which one I was getting. I was shocked when the Rotisserie arrived. It was the Ronco Showtime 5500 Stainless Rotisserie ($199 ARV)!

So, we received the Ronco Showtime 5500 Stainless Rotisserie, put it together, and put on our island. My husband had some health issues and so we didn’t get to use it until yesterday.   My husband took the chicken, rinsed it really good, then took onion, garlic and Italian seasoning and put it all over the bird, including the inside.

Then he took the ties that came with the Rotisserie and tied the legs and wings so they wouldn’t flap as it was rotating.  Next he put the skewers into the bird, then placed it into the Rotisserie and then set the Rotisserie for 1 hour and 15 minutes.  We had a 4 & 1/2lb chicken and the directions say 15 minutes per pound.  At the end, we had one heck of a good looking bird and were both hungry!  It smelled so good in my house while it was cooking and when we went to bed, we could still smell rotisserie chicken LOL

We were both amazed at how easy the rotisserie was to use and how delicious our chicken came out!  We will be using it again soon!  That was the best chicken I’ve had in a long time, cooked all the way and nice and juicy.
