ON September 29th I posted that I had received a NuWave Oven thanks to the Pitch List. Well, We have used the Oven twice now. I tell you this is the ONLY way to cook! NO more heat in my kitchen from the gas oven! Of course I won’t mind it when it’s winter, but for summer, NuWave is my only way to cook!

NuWave Oven Review #1
NuWave is a countertop oven that cooks up to 50% faster than a regular oven (gas or electric). Plus, the NuWave will save 85% of the energy an electric oven uses! There is no reason to purchase new pans, because you can use your own! Forgot to take dinner out the freezer? NO problem, the NuWave cooks from frozen too! All and all, this is a healthier and faster way to cook!
The Controls are on the top of the oven. Very user friendly! You cook everything in minutes. For instance if you want to cook something for 20 minutes, you would push 20 that’s it! It’s that simple! If you want to check your item in the oven…push Pause…check it..then push Start again!
When we first got the NuWave, my husband wanted to cook a Sirloin Steak. It was FROZEN! I didn’t get any pictures of it frozen, I wasn’t thinking to do that. But I have lots of other pics.
My husband used Magic Spikes Meat Tenderizer and Onion powder seasoning on the steaks. The flavor of the meat was awesome! Not salty like most tenderizers are. It also had the onion flavor which stood out among the flavors. Usually when we cook in the gas oven, the flavor gets lost!
After seasoning it, it was time to put it in the NuWave oven. It was fun watching it cook! Smelled so good! The directions said to cook for 18 minutes per side. My husband never did follow directions much, so he pushed it for 20 minutes on each side….the book says that 2 minutes over the time can be too much, well it was! That extra 4 minutes, made the steak a little over done, but it was still good!
When you order your NuWave Oven you will receive a recipe book, instruction card, instruction video, and Free Membership to the NuWave Cooking Club exclusively for NuWave Oven users. The club offers fantastic recipes, cooking tips and videos for easy instructions. The site is full of valuable info. I didn’t check the site for a sirloin steak recipe, but I will be checking for other recipes soon!
And there you have it, from frozen to cooked in 40 minutes, but should have been 36 minutes! LOL

I love this! I hate turning on my oven in the summer when we have heat in the triple digits. This would be awesome to have for those months and I could see using it as a second oven for the holidays.

I’ve got steak lovers in my house! I’m not a HUGE fan, at least not enough to know how to cook them all, so I would imagine this would take the guesswork out! I definitely need that. Plus, it would reduce the wasted thawed food that we seem to have a problem with in my house. :-bd

Nope not pink. It’s white. My digital camera isn’t working so I used my phone. I guess the reflection of the light made it look pink.
My husband is wanting to make steaks and some jerky with the NuWave! Steaks in 36 minutes with NO Burning from the grill is a seller for me! It will be neat to try to cook a Turkey for Thanksgiving in it!

I’m amazed at how well NuWave cooked this steak. I’m the type that absolutely HATES to defrost anything before cooking because it takes too long.
LOL well, I ask my husband in the morning “What are we going to take out for dinner”, his reply “I don’t know yet”. 5PM Me: “I’m hungry, what are we eating”, his reply “I forgot to take something out!”
SO this oven is a God Send for us!
I’ve never heard of this but seriously! 40 minutes from frozen!! That’s kind of awesome! Here in Vegas we’re always looking for ways to not have to turn on the oven. Sweet!!

That is awesome! I bet you can cook the whole meal on there if you wanted to! Toss a potato and some mushrooms and onions on with the steak and set the timer. Am I right? If so, I want one!

Yes Shawna you are right! BUT the steak takes less time than the potato would. There’s a recipe for Double stuffed potatoes, real easy and it comes with the oven, that takes 45 – 60 minutes

Your steak looks delicious! It is amazing how nice the oven cooks! I plan on using my NuWave more than my oven. When the NuWave uses 85% less energy…I am all for that!
