Target Updated Coupon Policy 2011

It seems that this “Extreme Couponing” show is making all stores revamp their coupon policies! Target has just updated theirs!

Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it’s easy to use them at our stores. When accepting coupons, we follow the guidelines below.

Manufacturer and Target Coupons:
Target accepts one Manufacturer Coupon and one Target Coupon for the same item (unless prohibited by either coupon).

Item purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, color, flavor, etc.).

Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.

We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item.

All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier during checkout.

All applicable sales taxes are paid by the guest at the full value of the item.

These guidelines apply to all coupons accepted at Target (Color Checkout Coupons, Internet Coupons, Mobile Coupons, Mailed Coupons, Coupons from Newspapers and Magazines, etc.).

Internet Coupons:
We gladly accept internet coupons that contain a clear and scannable bar code.
We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.

Mobile Coupons:
Guests can receive Target Mobile Coupons by signing up for Text Alerts at Target.com/mobile or by texting COUPONS to 827438 (TARGET).

Message and data rates may apply. See site for full details.

To redeem, simply show your coupon barcode to the cashier. With one simple scan, all applicable coupons are applied.

Buy One Get One Free Coupons (BOGO):
BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.

I believe we all knew this already!

A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.

*If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon maybe used on the first item.
* If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.

Exclusions:
Coupons are void if copied, scanned, transferred, purchased, sold, prohibited by law, or appear altered in any way.

We can’t accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.

Some items may not be available at all stores.

We do not accept expired coupons.

Be sure to print your copy of the new Target Coupon Policy and put it in your binder.

Walmart ~New BOGO Ad Price Matching Policy and Coupon Policy!

Walmart now has updated their Ad Matching Guarantee! It’s best if you print it out and keep it in your coupon binder or purse, so there’s no confrontations. Also print their new coupon policy if you haven’t already.

Ad Matching Policy

Coupon Policy.

So far I have had NO problems with the new coupon policy, and I’m hoping if I ever do their Ad matching, it will be the same. In anycase, I have them both printed and with my binder.

Heads Up: Publix Is Changing Their Coupon Policy

Publix officials confirm they are considering a major shift in how the Lakeland-based grocery giant handles coupons, just as extreme couponing becomes a national trend.

I don’t have a Publix in my area, but I thought I’d post this for those who read my blog to give you a heads up!

WalMart Coupon Policy Revised Again On 3/16!!!

The new Walmart Coupon Policy has been quite the talk of the town, sort of speak, and they have revised the change to their policy!

The policy now states that they will NOT accept the following coupons:

* Checkout coupons
o Dollars/cents off the entire basket purchase
o Percentage off the entire basket purchase

* Print-at-home Internet coupons that require no purchase

* Competitors’ coupons
o Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer
o Percentage off
o Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price
o Double- or triple-value coupons

Which means Walgreens Register Rewards, Winn Dixie’s $5 off $35 coupons, etc. will NOT be accepted.

Please go HERE and print the NEW Revised Corporate Coupon Policy and put it with your coupons!

New WalMart Coupon Policy!

Woo Hoo! Walmart has finally released an awesome much clearer coupon policy!

The two biggest changes are:
1) Walmart will now offer change back or overage on your transaction when a coupon exceeds the price of a product. Example: If you have a coupon for $3.00 off and the item is only $1.87. You will get the $.1.13 back in cash or off your bill (if you have purchased more).
2) Walmart will now accept Catalina coupons that are clearly marked as manufacturer’s coupons.

I went to Walmart yesterday and the coupons for overage worked! I had one item that was $1.87 and I had a $3 off coupon and when she scanned the coupon, I read the register screen it asked if $3 was the correct coupon amount and she hit enter instead of adjusting it down!

Walmart has updated their site with the new Coupon Policy which can be found HERE. I am going to have a widget with all store coupon policies and link to it as well.

Policy consists of:
Walmart will accept the following coupons:
* manufacturer’s coupons
* Internet printable coupons
* competitor’s coupons that have a specific price listed
* soft drink container caps
* Catalina coupons clearly labeled as “manufacturer coupon”

Provided they meet the following criteria:
* one coupon per item
* coupons must have an expiration date and be redeemed prior to expiration
* change or overage will be given if a coupon exceeds a purchase
* coupon must be for an item Walmart sells
* coupons must be presented at the time of purchase

Walmart does not accept the following coupons:
* Internet printable coupons for a free product
* competitor’s coupons for dollars, cents or percentage off, B1G1 free, and double or triple value

Management approval will be required for:
* transactions with 40 or more coupons
* any coupon with a value over $20
* $50 or more in coupons in a single transaction

I do highly suggest that those of you who have had issues with couponing at Walmart, print a copy or 2 of the policy and take it with you (if you run into a problem hand one copy to the CSM to keep).

I separate my coupon items from my regular priced items so I can see the savings right away and if there is a problem with any coupon being used, it’s easier to find that item and tell the cashier to remove it if it’s an item I really didn’t need and was just buying because it’s a good deal or a freebie.

(Thanks goes to DealSeekingMom!  She’s a WalMart Mom who helped with the new policy!)
